For optimal results, Butte recommends customers to conscientiously adhere to the pre-treatment guides provided. These guidelines are tailored to ensure clients prepare adequately before receiving treatments, ultimately enhancing the efficacy of the procedures and promoting overall satisfaction with the outcomes.

If you are considering acne reversal treatment, discontinue usage of Roaccutane and Accutane (isotretinoin) at least 8-10 months before your micro-needling procedure.
These medications, often prescribed for severe acne, can significantly thin your skin and impair its ability to heal properly. Thinner skin increases the risk of scarring, hyperpigmentation, and delayed healing during microneedling. Stopping these medications well in advance allows your skin to return to its normal thickness, ensuring a safer and more effective procedure with minimised risks of complications.
Whether you’re considering skin camouflage or inkless treatments, it’s important to avoid sun exposure and tanning. This step ensures your skin remains in its natural state, ensuring optimal results. Additionally, for inkless treatments, make sure the treatment area is free of sunburns to prevent complications and enhance healing.
Avoid taking oral antibiotics for 4 weeks and using skin antibiotics for 4-6 weeks before your procedure. This ensures your skin is in optimal condition, reducing the risk of adverse reactions and promoting healing.
Additionally, refrain from undergoing any other procedures on the treatment area, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, and fillers, for at least 1 month before treatment. Specifically, do not have Botox, PRP, fillers, micro-needling, laser, or peels during this time.
Refrain from taking certain medications and supplements that can affect your blood’s clotting ability and increase skin sensitivity. These include blood thinners, ibuprofen, anti-inflammatories, fish oil, vitamin E, ginger, and evening primrose oil. If you are prescribed blood thinners, consult your doctor before proceeding with any treatment.
Additionally, refrain from undergoing any other procedures on the treatment area, such as laser hair removal (IPL), waxing (sugar/hot), harsh exfoliants like scrubs, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or AHAs/BHAs before treatment.
Avoid consuming caffeine, energy drinks, alcohol, and ibuprofen at least 24 hours before your treatment. These substances can thin your blood and increase skin sensitivity, potentially leading to increased bleeding during the procedure.
Refrain from vigorous physical activity on the day of your appointment. Exercise can increase blood flow and perspiration, which may hinder the healing process.
Stay hydrated and ensure you get a good night’s sleep the day before your session to prepare your skin. Wear loose and comfortable clothing to your appointment to prevent unnecessary friction between the fabric and your skin.
To minimise skin sensitivity, consider booking your appointment outside of your menstrual cycle. Hormonal shifts during menstruation can affect skin sensitivity and healing.
